Where you are heard, understood and supported
Welcome to our website. We are a community counselling organisation set up by a group of practitioners who have been offering therapy in the Sutton area for many years. We seek to provide affordable, accessible therapy for adults (18+) of all identities, genders and cultural backgrounds. In a safe, supportive, and confidential space, we help you explore your thoughts and feelings, support you through life’s challenges, and empower you to make positive changes.
We offer the following options:
Individual Therapy: For those experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, or personal challenges.
Online Therapy: Secure virtual sessions for those who prefer therapy from home.
Group Therapy: Benefit from shared experiences in a supportive group setting.
Psychodynamic counselling is a type of talking therapy aimed at addressing longstanding difficulties or recurring experiences of psychological distress. It involves reflecting on your problems within the broader context of your life and seeks to uncover connections between past and present experiences. A crucial aspect of this approach is the use of the relationship that develops between you and the therapist. Together, you explore the issues that led you to seek therapy, which assists you in moving forward. It provides a safe environment to discuss emotions and thoughts that you may have previously found hard to express, as well as to examine what may have triggered them.
Problems are often complex, and counselling does not offer instant solutions. Instead, it is a process of gradually gaining insight into your feelings and how you perceive yourself and others. The therapist concentrates on what occurs between you during the session, along with your external relationships and personal history.
Psychodynamic counselling can help with deep-seated emotional and psychological issues. It is especially beneficial for anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and recurring behaviour patterns that create significant challenges. You need to be willing to view yourself from a different perspective and consider how you might contribute to your problems, potentially without even realising it.
Sessions occur at the same time and place each week. You bring whatever is on your mind that day: thoughts, feelings, memories, or dreams. Together, you and your therapist reflect on whatever comes up. The session is not an everyday conversation but a confidential space where you can speak freely with an experienced person who aims to understand and support you.
Our counsellors and psychotherapists do not provide advice; rather, they create a non-judgmental space for you to explore your difficulties. For many, this can bring relief, clarity, and much-needed change.

We offer psychodynamic counselling and psychotherapy, which will assist you in exploring how past experiences and the unconscious mind influence your current thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.
Our approach aims to reduce symptoms, uncover their underlying causes, and deepen your understanding of their origins.
We offer long-term individual psychotherapy, which entails weekly sessions lasting up to two years.
We also offer briefer therapy - twelve or twenty four sessions.
Group therapy can continue for longer.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether we could help.
If you're ready to take your first step towards starting therapy, please email us using the form provided or phone us on 07548 881842. You will be asked to leave a message and someone in our team will then get back to you.
